Backstage at concerts is nothing like I imagined.
Being backstage, you'll meet the production crew, the tour manager, the band manager, the techs, families, ect... There is no big parties or crazy scenes. This is a business. The performer plays the same gig 100 times a year!!! Seems easy, but it's not. I had the pleasure of scoring a backstage pass at a Marilyn Manson concert in 2007. Smart guy, he is. A business man. During the show, he came out with a pair of heart shaped glasses (his latest single), He wore the glasses halfway though the song, then took them off. He kicked them by accident and they landed in front of the barrier between the stage and the audience. Over the barrier head over heels my buddy went! He signed them after the show along with my hunting knife and backstage pass. A week passed, and my friend gave me the glasses for some KISS autographs. Like an idiot, I sold the glasses (for a lot of $$$), but I still have my knife. What a show!
