It was 1987. Music was music back then; Bon Jovi, Ratt, Motley Crue, W.A.S.P., KISS, Winger, Accept, Scorpions, Dokken, Dio, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, L.A. Guns, ect. All good stuff. Even today, I still listen to the 80's classics. What a great era. In 1987, I joined a band and we used to jam in the warehouses behind a Circle K. We'd come home from school, take a nap, and meet at the warehouse around 8 or 9 PM. Homework? Do it in the morning right before it's due. That way, it's fresh in your mind. We'd go over the same songs continuously. We'd play "Still of the Night", "Comfortably Numb", "Talk Dirty", "Crazy Train", and a few Iron Maiden songs. The guitar player was amazing. At the time, I also owned a purple B.C. Rich Warlock bass. The guitarist was far better than I was, so he asked me to play bass. No problem. I didn't care. I just wanted to be in a band.
